How much do we trust in thee
When doctors tell their tale to me
When climate changes are forewarned
And talk of warming being formed
Do we trust our fellow-man
Or do we tend to hold our hand
Up to our ears, we can’t accept
They all have secrets they have kept
Priests and Pastors they have done
Disgraceful things to many sons
In this our world so large so free
I want to know to trust you see
I want to know the doctor’s mind
Will cure our ills so we can find
Some rest, some peace from all our fears
To live a good life through our years
We want to know our homes will be
Safe and sound for you and me
So many issues in the news
We cannot let them change our views
We need to trust our thoughts it’s true
There is no other way to view
Our world, our lives, our fellow-man
Trusting has to be the plan
Without some trust we would become
Sick and sorrowful, always numb.
