Oh sun keep shining through my window

Show me please the day is new

Remind me to keep smiling,  although

Some tears are slipping through

Please come and make the sad days bright

Though you cannot repair

A heartache that will linger on

That is my cross to bear

There will be better days to come

On this I can depend

For now not even all your rays

Will not subdue or mend

Tomorrow please come back again

And wake me with your glow

I promise I’ll arise anew

Because you let me know

One sad time it cannot last

It will not take control

The heart will mend sad time will pass

I will move on tomorrow

But just for now let feelings come

Subdued and permitted sorrow.
