It’s been a long week recovering from a 3 1/2 week-long holiday. Â What? Â Recovering from a holiday? Â That sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? Â Well, not really!
I’ve heard so many people talk about coming home from their vacations and feeling the need to have some time off to recover but I never thought I’d fall into that category. Â Well, here I am!
It’s been too many days spent watching CNN and hearing about Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton!
Yesterday I had my batteries recharged when I travelled to babysit my 5-year-old Granddaughter, Grace. Â As you could guess, Grace has boundless energy as she stood gazing at her tired Grandma, saying, “aren’t you going to play with me?”! Â To which I answered, “why of course I’ll play with you! Â What will we play?”.

“Grandma you have to come and sit on the floor”, was the answer to my silly question!
Oh, it was a challenge, but I made it to the floor! Â Now what? Â She giggled and scurried around as Grandma pretended to be a barking puppy, while holding a small plastic figure of a little black dog between my fingers. Â Just this small gesture pleased my precious sweet Granddaughter and she laughed and laughed.
The time spent that Friday afternoon did in fact recharge this Grandma. Â I have realized how important it is to keep this old battery recharged; to not become lonely, discouraged or so bored with life that I give up and just sit, sit, sit! Â I was falling into that pattern so easily as we seniors tend to do.

As the day turned out, we had such a wonderful time. Â Grace was so happy to have her Grandma all to herself for the day and I loved sharing those moments with her.
Sometimes it takes a little child to teach us about life and what we are missing!
