What a difference one hundred years can make!!
Would you want to go back in time?
One hundred years ago our life expectancy was 47 years.
Today we should live to our mid 80’s or beyond!

Only 14 percent of the homes had a bathtub.
Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
There were only 8,000 cars and only 144 miles of paved roads.
The maximum speed limit in most cities was 10 mph.
The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower!
The average was in 1916 was 22 cents per hours.
More than 95 percent of all births took place at home.
Ninety percent of all doctors had no college education.
Sugar cost four cents a pound
Eggs were fourteen cents a dozen.

Coffee was thirteen cents a pound.
Canada passed a law that prohibited poor people from entering the country for any reason.
Two out of every 10 adults couldn’t read or write.
Now even though we often have waves of nostalgia and would like to travel back in time, I think I am happy to be just where I am now!
I try to imagine what it may be like in another 100 years from now!!
It certainly does boggle my mind!!!!!!
